Debugging and testing
Verify a fix at the version users actually see
By SI100x · Published
A local repair is only one stage of delivery. To verify a deployed fix, identify the version under test and repeat the behavior on the environment users will access.
Try this exercise
- Record the local change and its validation separately from deployment. Check that the delivered version includes the intended change before starting acceptance testing.
- Follow the original reproduction steps on the deployed site. Test the repaired state and the nearby successful behavior using approved isolated data.
- Record the result, target URL and remaining limitations. If a required role or service is unavailable, describe that dependency instead of declaring a pass.
Check your result
A ready deployment or passing build does not prove the user journey works. Keep local verification, runtime health and independent acceptance distinct so the status communicates what was actually checked.
