Make a course card work with a long title

By SI100x · Published

A card layout that works only with a short example title is not ready for real content. Practice with long names, missing images and different prices before deciding how much space the card needs.

Try this exercise

  1. Create three sample cards: a short title, a title several lines long and a course with no artwork. Keep their actions and identifying information consistent.
  2. Place the price and instructor identity in areas that can wrap without overlapping. Avoid using fixed vertical positions for text whose height changes.
  3. Check a narrow screen and increase the text size. Follow the card link by keyboard and verify that its purpose remains understandable.

Check your result

The longest card should remain readable without hiding important information. A missing image should produce a useful fallback rather than broken-image text. Do not shorten a title so aggressively that different courses become indistinguishable.
