Debugging and testing
Build a test-data ledger before testing writes
By SI100x · Published
Test records are easier to clean up when you track them from the beginning. A small ledger also helps you keep an isolated exercise separate from real users and production records.
Try this exercise
- Use a dedicated practice account or approved test environment. Give disposable records a recognizable prefix and note which account owns them.
- Record each created identifier, its purpose and whether it has related records. Keep secrets out of the ledger and share only the information needed for coordination.
- Use the supported cleanup flow after verification. Check that cleanup removed only the intended records and preserve any evidence needed to explain the result.
Check your result
You should be able to identify exactly what the test created and what remains. Never delete a record merely because its title looks like a test; ownership and authorization must be established first.
